The goal of this studio was to design a kitchen and bath for a Habitat for Humanity family. I chose to go with low maintenance materials that would withstand the lifetime of the home. I wanted to keep the design classic and neutral, so it would stand the test of time. Furthermore, I want all of my projects to have a consistent theme and design around them, so as not to produce an unappealing environment. Therefore, I like to incorporate some of the same features that were in the kitchen, into the bathroom. For example, the oil rub bronze backsplash from the kitchen I also incorporated into a backsplash in the bathroom. Not only does it create a unique focal point, but it creates a consistent look throughout the home.
